BLACKBERRY SUPPORT
Q:
Can I use my BlackBerry abroad & will I get charged?
A:
Yes you can, but if you travel overseas roaming charges apply for email, browsing and data services. To make sure you get your emails quickly, your BlackBerry device is always in contact with the data network when it is switched on and enabled. This uses about 10KB a day.

When you are roaming you are charged for this even if you do not send or receive any emails or browse the Internet on your BlackBerry. The cost depends on your BlackBerry roaming tariff, so if you would like to discuss the different options available please contact our Data Department.

If you don't want to get any data roaming charges, on your BlackBerry device go to: Main Menu > Manage Connections> Mobile Network Options> and set Data Services to Off When Roaming.
